ABOUT THE PROJECT

 

For one year from January 2017 to January 2018 I worked with this personal art project.

The "INSIDE OUT" project is a self-portrait series that deals with the feelings that flow in us from time to time throughout life. The painful, difficult and unpleasant feelings we repress and keep for ourselves most of the time. Feelings it's difficult to talk about or display - that forces us to protect ourselves by wearing a mask, hiding our feelings for the world around us.

I went a long way out of my comfort zone when I planned for this exhibition. These pictures are, with a few exceptions, photographed with only myself and my camera present, without thinking that others will see them, ever. I strongly believe that sharing your feelings, daring to put words on the things that you find difficult Allowing yourself to be vulnerable can be good therapy, if you are in a temporary crisis.
